Merchandise Vending Application

Please complete the following application for consideration in participating in the 3 Rivers Music Festival Marketplace in 2005. The application needs to be completed in its entirety. All vendors are selected on a first come – first served basis.

It is mandatory for your operation to have $1,000,000 of general liability insurance in order to participate in the Festival. You will also be required to list the 3 Rivers Music Festival and the City of Columbia as additional insured on the policy. Vendors assume all risk of property damage or loss, damaged goods and all risks of physical injury.

Each vendor must submit a completed application form, a proposed list and/or a sample of its products to be sold, the prices of the products and a photograph or sketch of the layout of your proposed area. Once we have received all required items, we will send you an acceptance memorandum, a contract, a map detailing choices of location and a notice of regulations from the Festival and the City of Columbia.

Guidelines: Each potential vendor must submit a proposed list and/or a sample and the price of products to be sold. 3 Rivers Music Festival reserves the right to reject any product due to price, poor quality, exclusivity or appropriateness. The festival also reserves the right to refuse any vendor the right to sell any product considered offensive or contrary to the public image of the festival. If non-compliance with these guidelines persists, the violating vendor will be asked to leave the site without a refund. Absolutely no items can be sold that compete with official 3 Rivers Music Festival merchandise. Vendors cannot assign, sublet or share any allocated space.

Sales Tax: Vendors are responsible for paying their own sales tax that is 7% of total sales. Sales tax will be collected from each vendor by a city official at 9:00 pm on Sunday, April 24.

Business License: The Festival purchases a blanket business license from the City of Columbia, so there is no need to a vendor to purchase a business license.

Early Setup: Any food vendor who attempts to set up earlier than the designated time or in a location that has not been reserved and approved will be moved by festival management.

Shutdown of all Vending Operations: All vending must stop 30 minutes before the festival closes each evening – 11:30 pm on Friday, 11:30 pm on Saturday and 9:00 pm on Sunday.
